Philippine General Hospital is a tertiary hospital located in Taft Avenue, Manila. This hospital is being the largest training center and one of the facilities that perform operations for COVID-19 patients in the country. However, a devastating news blew up last May 16, 2021 ; the said hospital caught on fire and a lot of people were affected particularly the new born babies and COVID patients.

 

Authorities said the blaze started in an operating room on the third floor of the facility. It reached first alarm at 12:41 a.m. and was quickly raised to the second level at 12:58 a.m., the BFP-National Capital Region reported.

            The Philippine General Hospital asked for some donations and assistance whether its in-kind or cash to help the most affected people in the recent fire incident.

After hearing the news, Burlington Industries Philippines Inc has decided to donate the portion of our profits to help the new born babies in PGH even the other affected people by the fire.

On May 27, 2021, we donated boxes of infant socks, disinfectant sprays and multipurpose cleaner and we also donated cash worth 100,000 deposited in Philippine General Hospital bank accounts.

With all these donations, we can provide the needs of new born babies, nurses and COVID 19 patients who had been affected by this fire incident. We would like to thank our customers who continually supporting and purchasing Burlington products in our online platforms.
